Once Rejected My Alpha Stepbrother Wants Me Back Chapter 95

TBC

Chapter 95

Ashton’s POV.

I never knew drowning life sorrows in a bottle was this awesome.

But hell, here am I enjoying it. Drinking to the  full while I rattle away all my sorrow to this stranger.

This is the  twentyfive shots on taking. I’m not entirely drunk but I plan to get wasted. However, it’ll take time because lycans and ordinary wolves don’t get drunk so easily.

“Yeah. I’ve had a crush on her for agessss…” I slur again and fix my fingers on the rim of my glass, taking the shot.

“And what happened?” The stranger asks.

I swear, I don’t even know the stranger’s name but I can make out his features.

He looks like a very powerful man.

Silver hair.

Angular face.

Piercing blue eyes.

As tall as I am

I give off the aura of a powerful lycan king but him…? I can’t lay a finger on what species of supernatural he is.

Aside from that, he looks filthy rich. I mean as rich as I am.

He is no ordinary man.

Regardless of that, I can’t bring myself to stop talking. I rattle off all the things Ive always wanted from him.

The day I found out my crush and step sister is my mate, I already had a bet with my  friends. I had to fulfill my end of the bargain. So, I  rejected her…”

“I bet it hurts. The stranger says.

“You know what hurts more?” I press my hand on his powerful, muscled shoulder. He shakes his head and I hum. “It’s seeing your rival kissing your woman.”

That’s strange. The stranger says.

“It sureeee is strangeeeee. I slur again.

Seeing my glasses are getting empty. I call the bartender to fill them up.

I drown more.

Take more.

I’m literally in forty shots now.

“Looks like this mate of yours is very beautiful.”

It’s a statement but I quickly bring out my phone and start showing him the pictures I took of Josie in secret.

“Her?” He suddenly blurts and I feel his aura change.

“Yes, her. You know her? Ah, I’m sure you must. She’s the famous language teacher. I prattle.

The man goes silent. Through blurry eyes, I see his eyes pinned on my phone screen as he grits his teeth.

Hours have passed, and I’m sure it’s almost dawn. The pub is now empty. The stranger I was with had left.

He didn’t even tell me his name.

I don’t mind though.

I scrap the stool I’m on as I try to get away.

Waving at the bartender, I hum Thanks bud. The shots were good

stagger away from the pub and make it to my car after stumbling thrice.

Settling on the wheel, 1 gear down the road.

While 1 drive, images of Josie fill my mind, swimming in my vision.

It’s a surprise I made it back to the pack house without clashing with anyone.

The guards patrol the pack house as I walk down from my car.

“Good morning, alpha king”

Greetings come front and back but I only wave,

I’m almost entering the foyer when Dane appears in front of me.

“Alpha. Man, you look wasted.” He snaps, crossing his arms over his chest.

“Ahh, trust me, dude, that’s the plan.” I chuckle.

Dane scratches his hair as if lost.

“Because of her?” He booms.

1 only look at him but give no response.

“You better let me get inside…” I slur, wanting to push him aside but he announces.

“Your mother is here to see you?

As if was poured a bucket of water, the drunken daze left me.

“Why?” I ask but another voice responds.

“Is that supposed to be a question, Ashton?”

, my mother. It’s her indeed.

Slowly, I whirl around to face her.

“Mother, Good to see you. I boom, winking at her.

She steps close with a hard look on her face.

“Look at how you’re wasting yourself, Ashton. She snaps, taking me in.

“Sometimes a man needs it.”

“Nonsense!” She throws her hands up. Bringing it down she says. “Tm so disappointed about what you did today. Why would you defend that rotten stepsister of yours!”

“Mind

your words, mother. Josie isn’t just my stepsister. She’s my  mate!”

“Was!” My mother howls after me. “She was your mate. You now have Lena William as your mate and she has been asking about you. Caring about you!”

I shake my head, sliding my hand through my hair in exasperation.

Mother.” I try to stop but she doesn’t let me speak.

“Lena loves you. You’ll make her your Luna, Ashton. I’m only here to remind you about that. You can’t reject someone you’ve marked. Curse or no curse!”

She walks away even as my eyes go round in surprise.

Wow, my mother is something else. I walk back to my room as my phone rings nonstop but I’m too dazed to answer.

Josie’s POV

When Diego leaves, I finally take a breath.

Tessa put me on fire by inviting Diego when Ashton’s here.

I wasn’t myself having the two men in the same room. The two that want to claim me as theirs.

Sinking into the sofa, I sigh. The house is empty now but my feelings are not. It’s rushing back and forth through my veins.

The look on Ashton’s face when he was here flashes through my mind endlessly.

He was angry, I knew it.

I saw the redness of his eyes as if he was trying to control his lycan.

But why do I bother about how he feels! Why do I care if he’s happy or not?

Diego was happy. I saw it in the look he gave me.

He loved me being in his arms as he kissed me.

That’s who I should be worried about not Ashton.

And yet you keep worrying, huh! My wolf’sneers.

‘Please, don’t start, Lady! I mutter but she scoffs.

Ashton…

His body physique. His facial expressions. His words all come to my mind like a tidal wave, rolling back and forth.

I huddle on the sofa as I think back to the events of this evening but my cheeks flush when I remember I was masturbating to the thought of Ashton in my toilet.

Damn, that was c

crazy.

‘And sweet. I actually enjoyed it. My wolf speaks again.

‘I knew you would. I reply back.

While bantering with my wolf, I feel my kitchen window slam open.

kun

I jerk up in fright and pant.

“What was that?” I ask myself in a low voice.

Stumbling on my feet, I pad to the kitchen but the window isn’t open.

Was I dreaming?

In fear, I look around to find the particular window that’s open but I find none.

Aloud knock suddenly lands on my front door and I freeze.

“Goddess, who could that be by this time?” I whisper.

About to cross the distance, the power in my house goes off quickly.

” ! Not now!” I whisper–yell.

Feeling my hands on the wall, I slide into the kitchen and find the candle.

I lit on and strut to the front door.

Peeking through the peephole, I see no one out there.

I can’t open that door, I tell myself.

Dread builds inside me and I feel my way back to the living room. With a pounding heart, I dial Ashton’s number.

The phone rings but he doesn’t pick

Pick up, Ashton!” I whisper, dialing his number several times

Still, Ashton doesn’t respond.

I don’t know what’s happening but I need someone to protect me.

I need Ashton here by my side…
